Mega Pet Shop
History

Mega Pet Warehouse is Melbourne's original pet warehouse, having offered the city's most comprehensive range of pet supplies for over 10 years.

Well-known by Melbourne’s leading dog breeders and show people, the original store in Bayswater quickly became popular in the local area for offering a wide range of products at discount prices, and enjoyed many years of success in the location.

With large warehouse-style retail becoming popular in Australia, the Mega Pet Warehouse concept proved a perfect fit, so a decision was made in late 2004 to relocate the Bayswater store to larger premises in Maroondah Highway, Ringwood. The new store and layout quickly proved popular with customers and local pet owners.

Around the same time, Mega Pet Warehouse also opened in Melbourne’s outer west in Heaths Road, Hoppers Crossing, quickly becoming a popular destination for pet owners in the region looking for discount animal supplies.

With more retail space available in these new locations, Mega Pet Warehouse also began to expand its large range to ensure it offered as many products as possible. Within a short time, both stores stocked over 7000 products, offering customers the largest range of pet supplies in Melbourne.

In late 2005, a third store was added to the Mega Pet Warehouse family at Epping’s Homemaker Centre, to service pet owners in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

In April 2007, Mega Pet Warehouse opened at Dandenong Plaza. That store is being relocated to Cheltenham in early 2013.

So with stores in Melbourne’s north, south, east and west, there’s bound to be a store near you.
